Joy today: Two years ago today my book went on sale

Screen Shot 2019-08-27 at 10.42.53 AMTwo years ago today my Emerson Page book went on pre-sale on Amazon. What a wild two years it’s been since as I finish the manuscript of the second book in the series this week. The journey to publication was long (8 years), but worth it. Keep writing.

I almost said goodbye to my beloved dog, Phineas, today. He wasn't able to eat or drink this morning. I got scared and called my local vet. They said to bring him in to assess. The vet was so kind. She said this decision is never easy, and there is no wrong decision. I'm still processing the series of events that followed.  Life force is a thing. Phin couldn't keep food or water down today. The dr said to rush him to the ER. They were sure he was having heart failure. Nope. Coming home w/ stomach meds as we wait to see if steroids kick in for the inflammation that's making eating and nutrition a chronic challenge for him. I thought for sure I was going to lose him tonight. But he's not ready to go yet. He just keeps fighting to stay here with me a while longer, so on we go. Not today, Death. Not today.❤️ I really have the kindest neighbors in my building. Many stopped by to say hi to me & Phin, to check on him, & to say that if we need anything they're here for us. Two of them just stopped by w/ flowers & chocolate. We are feeling the love today. Goodness lives! 1 incredible thing about having a senior dog who is nearing the end is every single moment of every single day has so much more meaning. My Phin is truly showing me how to live & love all of it. It's really something to feel heartbroken & grateful all at once. Travel back in time with #JoyProject #podcast as we delve into The Joy of Old Time Radio Shows. @lennonhyphensimon is our guide through this delightful and lighthearted audio-forward #history. Available at the link below, link in bio, & everywhere you get podcasts https://christaavampato.com/the-joy-of-old-time-radio-shows-with-zachary-lennon-simon/ Meditating on the forces it took to create this brilliance on display at @amnh Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals. My mantra in this world today: I am being honed. Joy is medicine. I learned this while going through breast cancer treatment. We need joy now more than ever. So I'm doing my part to help by working on the next episode of the #JoyProject #podcast which drops on Tuesday: The Joy of Old Time Radio Shows w/ Zachary Lennon-Simon This is the face of a girl who is elated to go pick up her beloved dog at the hospital! Phin's biopsy results will arrive next week. He responded better than the doctors expected to high dose prednisone (just like I did with my chemo lungs) so he can come home now. We will love and treasure every moment of every day, as we always do. We carry on. We keep moving forward. We find and create the light and joy where we can, for ourselves and for others. The force is strong in us, and will continue to be! A million thanks for your love, messages, and good vibes for sweet Phinny. I am more grateful than I could ever say. Shouts to his incredible medical team at @amcny.❤️❤️❤️ Today we witnessed a horrific historic moment in the U.S. A majority of the SCOTUS decided guns & zygotes have more rights than women.
