My hair is now long enough to put into a high ponytail. So I say this in the loudest, most defiant voice possible: #fuckcancer! Here's to healing! With many people now looking for jobs and applying to grad school, this is your reminder that imposter syndrome is a tool of the patriarchy. You are a talented, radiant, intelligent person with heart. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Go out into the world like a lantern and shine.💕 It was exactly the kind of party Pop would have loved -- his family and friends telling stories about the good times and laughing. Pop, you are so loved and so missed. What an example of a life well lived and well loved. We'll carry on as best we can. Thank you for everything.💕 Some stress eat or stress clean. Me? I stress read. I shouldn't be allowed to go to @nypl by myself. I want alllllll the books!😅 Today's haul are all by women authors. Happy reading and happy weekend, friends! Can an essay about economics be so beautiful that it moves readers (and listeners) to happy, inspired tears? Yes. Yes, it can. This one by Robin Wall Kimmerer in @emergencemagazine about the gift economy of nature and indigenous communities glitters with joy, wisdom, and hope. A just and fair economy does not lie in scarcity and accumulation. It lives in the realm of abundance and generosity. This is how we innovate capitalism and solve climate change challenges. https://emergencemagazine.org/essay/the-serviceberry/ Whenever I see this beautiful handwriting in my mailbox, I know I'm about to get a hefty dose of inspiration. Thank you @karyndaleylay! Love you & so excited to write with the @writerswritingalonetogether community this year.💗💗💗 In the midst of reading Beloved Economies: Transforming How We Work by Jess Rimington and Joanna L. Cea. This excellent book, at its heart, is about how to innovate capitalism so it's a fair, equitable, just, and loving system. Very inspiring research. Excited to put this into action in my own graduate school research at @cambridgeuniversity. We are what we eat, and we are also how we eat. If you have any health resolutions for 2023, the science of our eating order may help you. The order in which we eat our food at a meal makes a difference for our health and nutrition: Inspired by @nytcooking @drewbarrymore
