As a trained biomimic, I apply nature’s designs to build a better world for all beings.
It’s the perfect fusion of my love for product design, business, science, and storytelling in an effort to build a sustainable world.
I completed my graduate studies in biomimicry at Arizona State University (ASU). This program is the only one of its kind in the U.S. and created by Janine Benyus with ASU. Sine finishing that program, I have worked with Janine Benyus’s Biomimicry Institute as a science reviewer and writer for AskNature.org.
I am now finishing my Masters in Sustainability Leadership at University of Cambridge, housed at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). My dissertation at Cambridge is constructing a storytelling framework for climate entrepreneurs developing nature-based solutions to connect with family offices to co-create scalable, profitable, and purposeful businesses. I am a certified climate leader with Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corps.
While at ASU, my capstone project led to creating Beyond Plastic, a biodegradable alternative to fossil fuel-based plastic from a renewable resource grown in New York City, with collaborators at the Advanced Science Research Center, Northeastern University, and University of California Berkeley. The product is inspired by the structure, strength, and flexibility of spider silk, and is focused on food containers. The research is open-source and there is also a short 4-minute film that explains the product.
I have started to use AI to to create visuals of a sustainable New York City. I created these images below with Canva Magic Studio AI.
